The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is the largest association of technical women in the world with 20,000 members. They were founded in 1950 and have over 400 chapters nationwide. SWE Magazine is their Official Magazine and is published five times annually.
SWE Magazine is a powerful platform for employers targeting technical women. Every issue features direct-mail distribution to both their professional and student members. The content of each issue is developed by SWE's Editorial Board, a committee that includes engineering faculty, professionals from industry and students.
The society holds a National Conference each Fall, an event that draws thousands of members together for technical presentations, career seminars and a Career Fair. The 2010 event, WE10, will be held in Orlando, FL, from November 4-6. Employers looking to stand out to the WE10 attendees will have a new advertising option this Fall: Enhanced exhibitor listings on the WE10 website.
A bonus feature for all advertisers is that members of SWE also receive a special digital version of SWE Magazine, via e-mail. This technology enables members to easily connect to advertiser's websites by clicking directly on their ad. For an example of this new technology, click here.
Plus, each advertiser in SWE Magazine has their name placed online in the SWE Online Career Fair. All full-page advertisers receive a logo linking to their site on this page while partial page advertisers receive a text link to their URL.
Banner advertising is offered on the society website for employers looking to promote themselves online. Another new option is to be the exclusive sponsor of one month of SWE's e-newsletter, All Together. These options are featured here.
